The first festival evening is dedicated to local musicians and the new generation of the Zadar jazz scene.

The concert begins with a performance by young Zadar musicians – Ivor Lakić (keyboards) and Karlo Klarić (vocals), who bring freshness and new energy to the Zadar scene.

The central part of the program belongs to the Marija Kalmeta Quintet, which performs jazz standards and classics of the American jazz tradition in contemporary arrangements, combining tradition, improvisation, and modern musical expression.

The prominent Italian jazz musician Mario Rosini brings with his quartet a special musical tribute to the legendary singer-songwriter Pino Daniele. The program offers a blend of jazz, Mediterranean sensibility, and rich Italian musical tradition, inspired by the work of one of the most important musicians on the Italian scene.

The legendary American trombonist Joseph Bowie, founder of the cult band Defunkt and one of the most significant names on the world jazz-funk scene, returns to the Zadar audience. With the band The Bastardz, he brings an energetic concert that combines jazz, funk, and improvisation in a distinctive and powerful musical expression.

The festival closes with one of the greatest mandolin virtuosos in the world today. The multiple award-winning Brazilian musician Hamilton de Holanda brings with his trio a blend of top-level jazz, impressive improvisation, and distinctive Brazilian musical energy.

During his rich international career, he has collaborated with musical giants such as Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Milton Nascimento, Djavan, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Dave Matthews, John Paul Jones, and Hermeto Pascoal, confirming his status as one of the most celebrated musicians in contemporary jazz.
